Junior-Level SOA Systems Analyst, Proposal Effort

(Washington, DC)

Government consulting, no clearance required. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration. Contract Award mid March 2010. Support the implementation of Service Oriented Architecture processes to disparate information systems.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowlege, skills and experience in generic information system programatic support to critical air traffic management information systems.

The SOA Analyst's role is to devise and design business process requirements for all IT-related business, financial, and operations systems critical to core organizational functions. This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business and agency functions, process knowledge and systems requirements. The individual is also responsible for proactively generating and compiling reports based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to or new requirements for business processes and operational procedures. This individual will apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments and to assist in implementing new computer systems. Driving and reviewing technology diagnosis and assessment activities. Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis. Support the development of a high-level design, which supports robust technology solutions?taking into account the user's requirements and technology. Review design components. Support in the development design and transition approaches. Driving technology to build, test, and deployment activities. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development.

Required Experience:

Minimum Qualification: 3 years IT experience required. Familiarity with:

Service definition, design, or implementation using WSDL and/or SOAP Implementing Business Process Orchestration using BPEL or an equivalent. Communication, analytical, and problem solving skills. Knowledge of SOA products, platforms and standards.
