Mid-Level SOA Architect, Proposal Effort

(Washington, DC)

Government consulting, no clearance required. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration. Contract Award mid March 2010. Support the implementation of Service Oriented Architecture processes to disparate information systems.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowlege, skills and experience in generic information system programatic support to implement SOA to critical but dissparate air traffic management information systems.

The SOA Architect shall be responsible for reviewing SOA architectural requirements. The SOA Architect will work within various IT environments, including client/server and N-tier architectures, and modify those systems to accommodate a service-based approach. The SOA Architect shall provide support in identifying SOA based non-functional system requirements such as security, transactional integrity, reliability, availability, and agility. This individual will work with IT and business organizations to facilitate organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required in completing those plans.

Required Experience:

7 years IT experience required. Must be knowledgeable in Enterprise Architecture, SOA, J2EE, and/or Net Full Cycle implementation experience including requirements, design, implementation, and integration and testing.

Knowledgeable of SOA products [i.e., IBM Websphere, Oracle Application Server, Weblogic and Fusion Middleware and Fuse (Enterprise Service Bus, Services Framework, Message Broker and Mediation Router), Registry/Repository, ESM, Policy Server]. Knowledgeable in distributed computing background. Communication, analytical, and problem solving skills. Implementation familiarity including requirements, design, implementation integration, and testing. Knowledge with messaging systems. Knowledge of Web service and other information standards and technologies including WS-Risk Management (RM), WS-Security, WS-Addressing, and WS-Notification.
