Proposal Manager

(Arlington, VA)

SUBSYSTEMs is in need of an experienced Proposal Manager to oversee the initiation, development, and completion of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The candidate will ensure the quality and consistency of work products in a high-volume, quick turnaround environment. The Proposal Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day management of the proposal process.

Position requirements include the following:

• Provide assistance with the WIN strategy but primarily focuses on the mechanics of the proposal
• Owns the entire proposal process and ensures best practices are adhered to
• Develops the Proposal Management plan
• Analyzes RFPs and develops a Compliance Checklist
• Generates outlines
• Manages proposal schedule
• Coordinates with production and editing for production requirements and final QC
• Coordinates with Pursuit Lead/Capture Manager for final delivery arrangements

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, English, Journalism, and completion of a Proposal Preparation Training Course. 3 years experience managing proposals- from RFP receipt to product and 7-10 years experience in proposal writing/editing. Must have a demonstrated record of successfully managing high-visibility and complex Federal proposals. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, editorial skills, presentation and problem solving skills.
